Played 17 October 2026 on Thunderkick's official free demo in EUR at €0.20. Base play ran in autoplay blocks of 10. Block 3 stopped early on a win limit when the €3.64 Big Win landed, and the game didn't show how many spins it had played, about 4–5 worked out. We added an 11th block to make up for it, so the base spin count is about 104 (shown as 104), not an exact log. Base result: about €20.80 staked, finishing €10.06 down, with no bonus triggered. Best base win €3.64 (18.2x) at a x8 global multiplier, read off screen. Serpentico Smash has one bonus buy, the Bonus Game at €15.00 (75x). The three rows are the same buy made three times. BET+ modes raise the stake per spin and aren't a buy, so we didn't use them. Buys: €45.00 in, €26.22 back (−€18.78). Session total −€28.84. A short sample, not a long-term test.

How the session went
The demo opens on a loading screen promising a win of up to 5,000x. In the demo's EUR mode I set the bet to €0.20 and ran autoplay in blocks of 10, with a single-win limit set so it would stop on any big hit.
Early on, in the third block, the win limit stopped autoplay: a Big Win of €3.64 landed with the global multiplier on x8, 18.2x the bet, and briefly put the session in profit. The game didn't show how many spins that block had played before the stop, about four or five, so I added an extra block at the end. That puts the base game at about 104 spins.
After that it was a slow, steady slide with nothing else worth noting. About 104 spins at €0.20 (about €20.80 staked) returned roughly €10.74, finishing €10.06 down, with no bonus triggered.
The base game looks good. The temple grid, the Crush animation as clusters break, and a multiplier counter that ticks up make dead spins feel less dead. But with RTP this low, most spins return a few cents, and the multiplier rarely meets a cluster big enough to matter. In around a hundred spins, the €3.64 hit was the only big win we recorded.
Serpentico Smash has one bonus buy: the Bonus Game at €15.00 (75x), with a 94.50% RTP. The BET+ modes are different. They raise the stake on every spin to make the bonus more likely, so they're a higher bet, not a buy. I bought the same Bonus Game three times.
The first buy was the good one. The 10 free spins built the global multiplier up to x20, and with one spin left the bonus had paid €9.86. It finished at €20.86, 1.39x the price.
The second paid €2.10, 0.14x. The third paid €3.26, 0.22x; late in that round the multiplier was on x17 but kept landing on clusters worth a few cents. The multiplier only pays off when it meets a good cluster, and in those two rounds it didn't.
Buys: €45.00 in, €26.22 back, −€18.78. With the base game's −€10.06, the session finished €28.84 down.
How the features work
These points come from the in-game rules and what we saw.
Grid and pays. A 6×5 grid with cluster pays of 5 or more. Winning symbols are crushed and new ones drop in.
Multipliers. Multiplier symbols (x1 to x50) add to a global multiplier, which can reach x999. During the bonus it carries over between spins, which is how we saw x20.
Free spins. Three scatters award 10 free spins, plus 1 for each extra scatter.
BET+. Bonus Boost costs 1.5x the bet and makes the bonus 2 times more likely (94.20%). Bonus Boost Plus costs 2.5x for 5 times more likely (94.30%). Smash Boost costs 3.5x for 3 times more likely, with multipliers starting at x3 (94.40%).
Max win. 5,000x the bet; the round ends at the cap.
RTP and bets
The rules list 94.18% for the base game and 94.50% for the buy. That's about two points below the 96% most of the slots we review offer, which means you lose noticeably more over time. The demo's bet range was €0.10 to €100. Volatility is high.
Buying, BET+ or spinning
There are three ways to get to the bonus, and the rules give each one's return. At €0.20, the Bonus Game buy costs €15.00. At its 94.50% RTP, it pays back about €14.18 per buy on average over a very long run, a long-run loss of about €0.83 a time. Our three buys averaged €8.74, or 0.58x, which is normal swing for a high-volatility bonus over just three tries.
BET+ is a different deal. Bonus Boost Plus costs €0.50 a spin (2.5x) and makes the bonus 5 times more likely. Measured against its cost, it's the best value of the three modes, and at 94.30% it returns slightly more than plain spinning (94.18%). Smash Boost costs €0.70 a spin and starts multipliers at x3, which suits players chasing the multiplier rather than the bonus. Every mode returns between 94.18% and 94.50%, so none of them fixes the low RTP. They only change how fast you get to the feature and how much you spend getting there.
Spinning at the base bet is the cheapest way to play, but in our session about 104 spins (about €21) didn't trigger a single bonus, and three scatters never landed together. Buying cost €45.00 for three bonuses and brought back €26.22. Neither route paid off, which fits a 94% slot over a short sample.
Why 6.2
The Slotsyn rating starts from the studio numbers, then takes the session into account. On paper Serpentico Smash is weak: 94.18% RTP is low, and 5,000x isn't much of a ceiling for high volatility. That's most of the reason it scores lower than Thunderkick's catalogue average.
Our session didn't help: no bonus in about 104 base spins, and two of three buys returned less than a quarter of their price. The one good buy (€20.86) was luck, so we didn't count it in the slot's favour. The global multiplier is a fun, well-made mechanic and keeps it above 6. The result is 6.2, down slightly from 6.4.
Compared with other slots
Next to Hacksaw's cluster slots like Demonic Dolls (96.26%), Serpentico Smash returns less, but its multiplier climbs higher. If you like watching a global multiplier build, it delivers that. If you care about return, pick a 96% slot. I didn't assess the sound.
