Played 17 October 2026 on Hacksaw Gaming's official free demo in EUR at €0.20. Exactly 100 base spins in 10 autoplay blocks of 10 (€20 staked), with a 10x single-win stop that never triggered, returned €11.08, finishing €8.92 down, with no bonus. Biggest base win shows Not logged: the largest single win we saw was €0.50, but one block paid €2.64 in total without single spins being seen, so a bigger win under 10x may have landed unseen. No single base win reached 10x. Tres Piñatas has two true bonus buys, Mini Piñata Party (100x) and Mega Piñata Party (200x). BonusHunt FeatureSpins is a higher-stake mode (€1.00 a spin at €0.20), not a buy, and wasn't used. Buys: €80.00 in, €33.80 back (−€46.20). Session total −€55.12. A short sample, not a long-term test.

How the session went
The splash screen lays it out: three piñatas that trigger a bonus, Hold & Win with coins, jackpots and more piñatas, and an epic win of up to 2,500 times the bet. I set the bet to €0.20 and ran 100 spins in autoplay blocks of 10, with a stop on any single win of 10x or more.
That stop never triggered. The 100 spins at €0.20 (€20 staked) returned €11.08, €8.92 down, with no bonus. It felt like a steady trickle of small line wins that slowed the losses without reversing them. The biggest single win I saw was €0.50; one stretch in the second half paid €2.64 across several spins, but I didn't see the individual wins. What I can say for certain is that no single base win reached 10x, so the table leaves the best base win as Not logged.
The jackpot panel on the left sets the ceiling at €0.20: Mini €5, Major €10, Mega €50 and Max €500. That's 25x, 50x, 250x and 2,500x, and the Max is also the game's cap, so a Hold & Win round can never pay more than €500 at this bet however well it goes.
The buy menu has three options, and only two are buys. Mini Piñata Party costs €20 (100x) and guarantees 1 to 3 piñatas. Mega Piñata Party costs €40 (200x) and guarantees 2 to 3. BonusHunt FeatureSpins, at €1.00 a spin, is a higher-stake mode: it makes each spin 10 times more likely to trigger a bonus, but it doesn't buy one. I bought Mini, then Mega, then Mini again.
The first Mini Piñata Party ran to 24 free spins. Midway the grid held 3x, 4x, 9x and 10x coins with the green and red piñatas in play, and it finished at €18.40, 0.92x the price. Close to break-even.
The Mega Piñata Party was short. Despite its guaranteed extra piñata, it ran to only 8 free spins and paid €7.00, 0.18x of its €40 price. That's the risk with a 200x buy: more piñatas improve the odds, but they don't guarantee a long round.
The second Mini went to 19 free spins. Late in the round the green Collect piñata gathered 21x from the coins around it, but the board never filled, and it finished at €8.40, 0.42x.
In total the buys cost €80.00 and paid €33.80, −€46.20. With the base game's −€8.92, the session finished €55.12 down. Three bonus rounds isn't enough to judge the buys by. All three came in under their price, but each was a normal outcome on its own.
How the features work
These points come from the in-game rules and what we saw.
Base game. A 5×3 grid with 9 paylines. Coin symbols and piñatas land on the reels; enough piñatas trigger the bonus.
Hold & Win. The bonus plays as free spins with coins on the grid. Coins carry values (we saw 1x to 10x) or jackpots, and the three piñata heads above the grid are labelled Double, Multi and Collect.
The piñatas. Blue doubles coin values, red multiplies them, and green collects them. In our rounds the green piñata collected 21x and later 33x.
Jackpots. Mini 25x, Major 50x, Mega 250x and Max 2,500x.
Max win. 2,500x the bet, €500 at €0.20.
RTP, bets and buys
The rules give 96.26% for the base game, 96.28% for Mini Piñata Party and BonusHunt, and 96.34% for Mega Piñata Party. Hacksaw also offers 94.30%, 92.32% and 86.29% versions, so check the info screen at your casino. The bet range in the game is €0.10 to €2,000, and buys can go above it. Volatility is medium.
At €0.20, Mini costs €20 and Mega €40. Mega doubles the price for one extra guaranteed piñata, and with a 2,500x cap on both, that's a steep upgrade.
Why 6.3
The Slotsyn rating starts from the studio numbers, then takes the session into account. Tres Piñatas has a fair RTP, medium volatility and a well-designed bonus, with three piñatas that make each round play differently. What holds it back is the 2,500x cap. It's low for any modern slot, and it limits what the 100x and 200x buys can ever return.
Our session was poor: no bonus, no 10x win in 100 spins, and the buys returned 0.42x. But that's three bonus rounds and one quiet base run, so we didn't count it against the slot. The result is 6.3, unchanged: solid and fair, with a low ceiling.
Compared with other Hacksaw slots
Next to Le Vampire (15,000x) and Demonic Dolls (10,000x), Tres Piñatas has a much lower cap. Its Hold & Win bonus is simpler to follow, and the piñatas add a twist most coin slots don't have. If you want a calm, readable Hacksaw slot, it's a fair pick. If you want upside, look at those two. I didn't assess the sound.
